"La Chiesetta" is an old country church dating back to 1300 recently transformed into a unique and charming holiday home with a decidedly mystical atmosphere.
Situated at the foot of the green hill on which stands the imposing ancient town of Cortona, the property enjoys magnificent views that open onto the wide valley towards the nearby Lake Trasimeno, and the conical tops of the mountains Amiata and Cetona further south bordering Umbria and Lazio.
The house is surrounded by an extensive, furnished garden shaded by mature trees and extending over a small vineyard and a sunflowers field belonging to the property and also enjoyable by guests.
The freeform private swimming pool, (12x6 m, depth to m and open May - September ) is located in the area between the small vineyard and the owners house. The pool may be occasionally shared by the owners with the utmost discretion that distinguishes them.
Internally the accommodation features beautiful wooden trusses and some small windows typical of ancient country churches, creating an extraordinary atmosphere of serenity that together with the simplicity and yet comfort of the furnishings make you feel instantly at home or rather really on vacation!

Ground floor: large living room with fireplace communicating with the dining area, fully equipped kitchen with dining table and door window onto the outside, 1 bathroom with shower; staircase to the first floor.
First floor: 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom (that can be made into a double plus) with small terrace and staircase to the garden, 1 small single bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower.

Services of all kinds including restaurants, bars and supermarkets are available in the nearby village of Camucia situated at about 1,000 meters and therefore easily reached on foot.
Within just 5 minutes' drive, on a hill about 600 meters above sea level, lies Cortona, a small cosmopolitan city of Etruscan origin enclosed by ancient walls within which you live a unique and mystical atmosphere through medieval street and squares with excellent restaurants and stylish shops. The views over the extensive valley below towards the lake Trasimeno are simply breathtaking. Cortona is also the place where the American romantic comedy drama film "under the Tuscan sun" was shot in 2003.
As it was for the Etruscans, the town still is in a strategic location that allows, with brief trips to reach important artistic and cultural centers of both Tuscany and all central Italy.

- COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY The client would have the option to defer the booking, receive a Credit voucher or cancel the booking and receive a full refund. This applies to bookings confirmed starting from September 2020 with arrival between September 2020 and December 2021, where the holiday dates coincides with the following restrictions: 1.Government restrictions imposed on travel as a result of COVID-19, including national or regional lockdowns which prevent the client from travelling on holiday. 2.Government restrictions imposed on travel as a result of COVID-19 that prevent travel to the area where the accommodation is located. 3.Closure of holiday letting accommodation as a result of COVID-19. This special clause does not apply to other cases (even if linked to COVID.19 emergency) such as: 1.Client’s inability to travel due to illness of himself or any member of his group (including COVID -19) * 2.Client’s inability to travel due to the need of self-isolation for him or any member of his group * 3.Transport disruptions and cancellation * 4.Curfew taking place in the area where the accommodation is located 5.Closures of bars, restaurants and points of interest in the area where the accommodation is located ( * ) These events can be covered by taking out travel insurance. In case the client decides to accept to either defer your booking or be provided with a credit voucher, refund will no longer be an option. Both must be used by the end of 18 months. - CANCELLATION POLICY Any cancellation of confirmed bookings must be communicated in writing and will be subject to a penalty that will be calculated according to the full price of the booking, as follow: 60 days or more before arrival: 30 % (Deposit); From 59 to 49 days before arrival : 60% ; From 48 to 30 days before arrival: 80 %; From 29 days to arrival : 100%.

Bella casa con una coppia di padroni di casa cordiale
Nonostante l'esterno compatto, l'ex chiesa offre una sorprendente quantità di spazio. La zona giorno e le camere da letto sono arredate con cura e i letti sono confortevoli. L'ampia cucina è dotata di tutto il necessario per cucinare e c'è anche una cucina esterna coperta con barbecue e forno per pizza. Diverse aree salotto intorno alla casa invitano a trascorrere qui l'intera giornata. La piscina è un po' lontana dalla casa, ma c'è anche un sacco di sdraio e sedie per rilassarsi dopo una nuotata
Paolo e sua moglie Carla sono degli ottimi padroni di casa! Cordiale, sempre disponibile e disponibile - non abbiamo mai sperimentato un'accoglienza così calorosa come in questa casa vacanze e abbiamo già prenotato molti alloggi! Situato ai piedi della bellissima città di Cortona, non è lontano da negozi, cultura (altamente consigliato il museo della città!) e ristoranti. Molte mete turistiche sono facilmente raggiungibili e la settimana nella chiesetta è stata fin troppo breve!
Carla e Paolo, è stato bellissimo stare con voi e se torneremo in Toscana, prenoteremo di nuovo con voi! Grazie!

Ottima casa vacanze in una buona posizione
Abbiamo trascorso una settimana meravigliosa nella chiesa di Cortona. La casa è molto accogliente, ben attrezzata e ben situata per le escursioni nella campagna circostante. I padroni di casa sono molto gentili e non complicati e siamo stati accolti calorosamente. La casa e la piscina erano molto pulite.
Questa casa vacanze ci ha regalato un pacchetto completo e spensierato
Ci siamo sentiti molto a nostro agio e possiamo consigliare vivamente la chiesa di Cortona.

Sistemazione super - anche con il cane
Proprietari incredibilmente gentili, molto attenti e comunicativi. La piscina e la casa sono pulite. Buon parcheggio
L'attrezzatura della casa è fenomenale. Atmosfera molto accogliente. Anche con il cane ci sono buone possibilità di fare una passeggiata nei dintorni
