Ancient stone barn nestled in the green valley at the foot of Montagnola Senese just 300 meters from the historic village of Abbadia Isola and 3 km from mediaeval walled town of Monteriggioni.
The building, expertly renovated keeping unchanged the original features, is now proposed as a cozy holiday home ideal for families and couples looking for a special place to spend a peaceful and romantic holiday in the heart of Tuscany.
The property is surrounded by a large garden with shady and fruit trees, in the middle of which is an inviting private swimming pool (11x5 m, depth 1.20-2.00 m) available from May to September, equipped with an outdoor shower, Wi-Fi coverage and night lighting.
On two sides of the building there is a characteristic porch furnished with tables and chairs, an idyllic corner for outdoor dining, relaxing while enjoying the spectacular views, or reading a good book.
Internally the accommodation is furnished with taste and simplicity in a typical local style and equipped with all modern comforts.
Less than 10 minutes of easy walk is the historic village of Abbadia Isola where, in addition to two restaurants, a bar and a gas station, there is a beautiful abbey dating back to the year 1000 located along the Via Francigena, the ancient road that medieval pilgrims traveled to reach Rome from all over Europe and that today has become an attractive itinerary for tourists who love history and art. Continuing on foot along the Via Francigena, we reach the Castle of Monteriggioni, whose evocative walls can be admired from the property.
The surrounding countryside reflects the classic Sienese landscape with its many shades of color known as "Terra di Siena".
Definitely strategic location to easily visit the most important art centers of Tuscany, the countless Chianti wine cellars, as well as the beaches of the nearby Tyrrhenian coast.
